Lionel.
As a toddler I remember him well,
Three years younger, what tales I could tell!
I was always in the way,
The odd one out when thoughts turned to play.
His gang were always older than me,
A younger brother no one wanted to see,
I'd hang around waiting for my chance,
A pint or two then to the Vic dance.
He had his moments then Anne came along,
Love at first sight she could do no wrong.
He worked at Rolls Royce a draughtsman no less,
At the Chesterfield branch he was sure to impress.
A Chesterfield supporter what will they do now?
Through thick and thin he should take a bow.
Never critical - always a blue,
He will be missed - one of the Few!
